This power plan stops Windows from putting your hardware to sleep. It won’t boost FPS much, but it can help reduce small stutters or input delay.

What Does It Actually Do?

The Ultimate Performance plan in Windows 10 and 11 unlocks the highest power profile available. It keeps your CPU, storage, and other components fully active – removing power-saving delays that can cause input lag, microstutters, or sudden frame drops.

It’s not enabled by default, but you can activate it in seconds using a single command.


How To Enable

Step 1. Right-click the Start menu in windows setting

Step 2. Select Terminal (Admin) from the quick menu

Step 3. Paste in the following command and click Enter

powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61

Step 4. Open the Edit Power Plan settings from the Start menu

Step 5. Click on Change advanced power settings

Step 6. From the dropdown, select Ultimate Performance to activate it
